Hi Families, my name is Piper and I've been apart of Capers family since late 2024. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and have completed over half of my degree. I am working under exceptional circumstances while continuing my studies and building my knowledge and experience within the early childhood sector. I am passionate about creating safe, supportive and engaging environments where children feel confident to explore, learn and be themselves.
I enjoy working with the team at Capers and being part of the Bush Kindy environment. I really value how connected Capers is with the local community and the opportunities children have to visit and contribute to the community through bus and walking excursions. I also enjoy that Pumicestone is a nature-based service, where we are able to encourage children to explore, learn and build a strong connection with nature.
I am passionate about seeing young children learn, grow and develop through their own experiences. I believe all children should have opportunities to connect with and explore natural environments, including engaging in all-weather play. I am also passionate about project-based, play-based learning that follows children’s interests. I enjoy using their interests to engage them in learning, encourage their curiosity and give them opportunities to explore their ideas further.
Outside of Capers, I enjoy swimming, scuba diving, camping and spending time with my family. I also enjoy line dancing and being involved in my church community. I love spending time outdoors and making the most of opportunities to connect with family, friends and the community.
