Capers Early Learning Wamuran, serving children aged six weeks to six years, offers a home-like atmosphere with carefully designed environments. The centre, which opened in 2009, caters to 72 children daily across five rooms, each leading to three outdoor play areas. The 2023 renovation of the outdoor learning environments reflects the community’s values, featuring a Natural Playground that promotes sensory exploration and seamless transitions for children moving from Wamuran State School.

Wamuran meet the team

All of our educators hold relevant qualifications for their roles or are studying towards these. Our Educators are guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and provide all children with equal opportunities within our play based environment.

Annaleise O'Leary

Early Childhood Teacher (ECT)

Miss Annaleise is our ECT at Wamuran Capers Early Learning. She is very passionate about working with children since completing high school and relevant qualifications. Miss Annaleise has worked with Capers Early Learning for many years with her leaving for a brief period of time to complete her Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. Miss Annaleise has a lovely fiancé and 2 amazing young children of her own, where she lives locally in Wamuran on acreage with horses, cows, dogs and a pig.

Brittney Downey

Early Childhood Teacher (ECT)

My name is Miss Britt, and I have been working in early childhood education since high school, where I completed my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. I spent eight wonderful years working at Capers before taking a brief break to explore hairdressing for a year. I am now back at Capers Wamuran, continuing my studies to become an Early Childhood Teacher while working in the Kindy room.

We offer an approved kindergarten program which follows the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG). Our Kindergarten area features extensive outdoor play spaces, that challenge and assist in building coordination and agility as well as encourage playing with others.

As a centre we have a received an overall rating Meeting the National Quality Standards and strive to continue to develop and grow our centre, and our team to exceed the expectations of the families who entrust their children into our care.
