Capers Early Learning Northgate, welcoming children aged six weeks to six years, offers a state-of-the-art facility with six rooms opening onto verandas and natural play spaces. Established in early 2016, the centre combines modern technology with eco-friendly practices like solar energy, rain harvesting, and recycling. Children explore environments with logs, rocks, and gardens, fostering respect for nature. The curriculum supports their autonomy, viewing each child as a capable and resourceful learner.

Here at Capers Early Early Learning Northgate, we believe all children are confident and capable learners and we feel privileged to be involved in their learning journey. We value our families and believe that it is our role to work in partnership to create the best outcomes for all children.
All of our educators hold relevant qualifications for their roles or are studying towards these. Our Educators are guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and provide all children with equal opportunities within our play based environment.
Miss Sharna is one of our Support Manager for Capers Early Learning. Miss Sharna’s career in Early Childhood began in 2010 and holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. Miss Sharna has been apart of the Capers Early Learning family since 2018.
Miss Jill is the Centre Manager at our Northgate Centre. Miss Jill’s career in Early Childhood began in 1994 and holds a Diploma of Community Service (Childcare). Miss Jill has been apart of the Capers Early Learning family since 2017.
Miss Bree is our Assitant Centre Manager at our Northgate centre. She began her career in childcare back in 2010 where she now holds a Diploma Early Childhood & Education.
I’m someone who feels deeply and learns slowly, but I always try to give my 100% to everything that comes my way. I do get overwhelmed sometimes, but I’m constantly learning and growing. I value kindness, connection, and creativity, and I bring those qualities into both my personal life and my work with children. I hold a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education with my true passion always for the Early Years.
We offer an approved kindergarten program which follows the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG). Our Kindergarten area features extensive outdoor play spaces, that challenge and assist in building coordination and agility as well as encourage playing with others.
The natural play areas at Capers Early Learning Northgate are designed to inspire exploration and connection with the environment. These spaces feature logs, rocks, sand, dirt, and lush gardens, offering children a rich sensory experience. The centre incorporates eco-friendly practices such as solar energy, rainwater harvesting, and recycling, teaching children the importance of sustainability. These engaging green spaces not only foster imaginative play but also encourage children to respect and appreciate the natural world around them.
