Capers Early Learning Wamuran, serving children aged six weeks to six years, offers a home-like atmosphere with carefully designed environments. The centre, which opened in 2009, caters to 72 children daily across five rooms, each leading to three outdoor play areas. The 2023 renovation of the outdoor learning environments reflects the community’s values, featuring a Natural Playground that promotes sensory exploration and seamless transitions for children moving from Wamuran State School.
Capers Early Learning Wamuran acknowledge the Jinibara people – The People of the lawyer vine, whose land our centre is built on and pay respects to the Elders past, present and future. We value our on-going relationships with the community and respectfully incorporate their guidance, input and traditions to continue and reclaim traditional culture for the next generation.
All of our educators hold relevant qualifications for their roles or are studying towards these. Our Educators are guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and provide all children with equal opportunities within our play based environment.
Miss Jac is one of our Support Managers & centre manager for our brand new Pumicestone Bush Kindy centre for Capers Early Learning. Miss Jac’s career in Early Childhood began in 2016 and holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. Miss Jac has been apart of the Capers Early Learning family since 2016.
Miss Carmen our Centre Manager & Nominated Supervisor at our Wamuran Centre. Miss Carmen’s career in Early Childhood began in 2016 and holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. Miss Carmen has been apart of the Capers Early Learning family since 2016.
Miss Danielle is the Assistant Centre Manager & Educational Leader at our Wamuran Centre. Miss Danielle’s career in Early Childhood began in 2013 and holds a Diploma of Children’s Services. Miss Danielle has been apart of the Capers Early Learning family since 2013.
Miss Annaleise is our ECT at Wamuran Capers Early Learning. She is very passionate about working with children since completing high school and relevant qualifications. Miss Annaleise has worked with Capers Early Learning for many years with her leaving for a brief period of time to complete her Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. Miss Annaleise has a lovely fiancé and 2 amazing young children of her own, where she lives locally in Wamuran on acreage with horses, cows, dogs and a pig.
We offer an approved kindergarten program which follows the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG). Our Kindergarten area features extensive outdoor play spaces, that challenge and assist in building coordination and agility as well as encourage playing with others.
