Miss Heather is our Assistant Manager, ECT, and Educational Leader at our Northgate Centre! Miss Heather and her husband moved to Brisbane from New Zealand with our two children in February 2024, as well with their two fluffy dogs, Scout and Murphy.
Miss Heather has been working in the Early Childhood industry for the past 10 years, having been lucky enough to work in New Zealand, Brisbane (back in 2017), Vancouver, and now coming full circle back to Brisbane. Miss Heather is very excited to be on this new chapter of her career with the amazing children, families and teachers at Capers Early Learning Northgate.

What made Miss Heather apply for the Assistant Centre Manager & Early Childhood Teacher role?

I applied for the role at Capers Early Learning because I wanted to be part of a supportive and dynamic environment that values relationships and fun in early childhood education. Having previously worked in Brisbane, I was excited to return and contribute to a community where I could make a positive impact on children’s lives. The opportunity to work alongside dedicated educators and engage with families made this position a perfect fit for me.

What does Miss Heather like doing outside of Capers Childcare?

Outside of Miss Heather's role at Capers Early Learning, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and two fluffy dogs, Scout and Murphy. Miss Heather loves exploring the beautiful outdoors, whether it’s hiking or just enjoying a day at the park. Additionally, she likes engaging in creative activities that allow her to unwind and connect with nature.
